Keith's Project Process

Here is how I work with you:

1. We begin by getting a clear understanding of what the project is and its mission. We discuss time frame and expectations, and then I create a proposal. If you accept the proposal, then we’re ready to begin working.

2. I’ll email a creative brief for you to fill out. This outlines all the critical information I need to write great copy for you.

3. You’ll also need to provide me with as much background information about your product or service(s) as possible. The more material you provide up front, the better. This may include product background materials, previous marketing pieces or any other literature that will give me the background information I need to write your copy.

4. I also do my own outside research to look for any statistics, data or any other 3rd party information that will help support what your product or service(s) can do.

5. I’ll review the answers from the creative brief, look over the background information that you provided, examine the research I found on my own, and formulate any additional questions I may need answered about your product or service(s) and your target audience. We can typically cover these by email, but if necessary, I’ll call you.

6. I will write the first draft of the copy and submit it to you in about 10-14 days. This could take longer depending on the size of the project.

7. You and your team can review the submitted work, making note of any revisions.

8. I will make the requested revisions and submit the final draft copy to you for your acceptance.
